I had to work new year's eve since a party was using our building, so at midnight, instead of counting down, I was downing cups of ice cream and Oreos and watching one of the officers demonstrate beating up one of my coworkers. Then I punched the officer in the chest a few times, and we all went home.
Anyway, today we went to go see Les Miserables. It's one of my favorite musicals, so it's nice to be able to see it on a screen instead of trying to search for a theater somewhere that's performing it. Lovely acting and some really pretty cinematography!

Ah, I've been getting a steady trickle of new followers this year so far! I'm not sure where you're coming from since I never seem to update, but welcome and thank you!
I have a feeling at least a few of you are waiting for the next Retaining Sanity chapter. I was really hoping to get it up during the first week of the year. I have half of the new chapter finished, and the rest of the chapter already planned out. However, I started my first full-time job + my last semester on Jan. 6, and it's been a crazy time trying to balance everything! I just got back from my last shift at my university job where I've worked for almost four years now (my building plays host to new year's eve parties every year). This was the first new year's eve where I was the lead manager, too. I think it's fitting to end/begin a year like that with the promise of bigger and better things only a few days away. Hope all y'all had a great and/or interesting new year, too!
(And for those of you who are waiting for it, I am halfway down with the next chapter of Retaining Sanity for a first-of-the-year update!)
